Cute Card

This was a birthday card i made for a friend of mine.Mainly pieces of patterned magazine cuttings, paper, and some images cut out of books went into making this collage.I then outlined the shaped cuttings in black chalk marker.

Woodland Critters

This canvas was painted with coffee and acrylic paint.I particularly like how the paint has reacted with the coffee and dried in blotches.This may not be finished yet, I cannot decide.the painting began to form as i kept leaving it stood up in front of me while i watched TV, so as to occasionally notice it with a fresh mind, and add something more to it.I will probably continue this technique.The colors make me want to add a shiny silver to it somewhere.but I'm not sure where yet,and also im not 100% happy with the 'woodland critters' being so boldly orange.I will just continue to work on it i guess, and see where it takes me.I do really like the vintage feel of this piece though.I used one of my digital drawings as a basic reference.But i did fully intend to make this a lot more colorful and Autumn themed.

I have recently moved into a new place which is very nice but not so good that I have to wait 10 days to get the internet installed.I would usually be spending my time drawing on Iscribble.net and downloading music however the past 4 days have been utter hell.Having no internet really puts into perspective how bored I generally am.Though the one good thing to come out of this boredom was that i have been painting and drawing a lot as appose to digital drawing.I bought 3 canvases and got the acrylics out.The picture above was drawn in black biro and painted with coffee (it smells great).It is not a canvas but a piece of A1 card layered to thicken it up enough to hang on my wall.
